Linocut prints by Angie Lewin

I have been creating limited linocut prints for a number of years now.

Linocutting is a type of relief printmaking in which areas of the lino are gouged out, and the ink is then rolled on to the raised surface of the linoleum.

Japanese paper is then laid over the lino surface, and I'll then either hand burnish with a wooden spoon, or I'll use my Albion printing press to take an impression.

I print with oil-based inks in transparent colours to produce the finished print.

Here you'll find linocuts that are currently for sale plus previously sold out editions (which are marked with a red dot). In many cases, these sold out linocut prints are available as greeting cards.

A number of these prints feature in my latest publication, The Book of Pebbles.

Here are my currently available linocut prints (along with a selection of my prints in other mediums). Explore all currently available prints >
